Coverage: 1 pound of Silicone Plastique® will cover an area 8″ x 8″ x1/4″ thick.
How To Calculate Quantity Needed: In inches, take the L” x W” x Thickness of the area you will be covering with Silicone Plastique®. This will give you the total cubic inches of the Silicone Plastique® layer that you are going to use to make your mold. Then multiply “total cubic inches” by .98 to find the weight in ounces of Silicone Plastique® you will need. Divide this number by 16 to calculate pounds of Silicone Plastique® required.
Example: Let’s say you need to cover an area that is six inches long by six inches wide and you want to apply a layer of Silicone Plastique® that is 1/4 ” thick. |

Coverage: 1 pound of Silicone Spread™ will cover an area 9 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ x1/4″ thick. How To Calculate Quantity Needed: In inches, take the L” x W” x Thickness of the area you will be covering with Silicone Spread™. This will give you the total cubic inches of the Silicone Spread™ layer that you are going to use to make your mold. Then multiply “total cubic inches” by .70 to find the weight in ounces of Silicone Spread™ you will need. Divide this number by 16 to calculate pounds of Silicone Spread™ required. Example: Let’s say you need to cover an area that is 8 inches long by 8 inches wide and you want to apply a layer of Silicone Spread™ that is 1/4 ” thick. The calculation is as follows: 8″ x 8″ x 1/4″ = 16 cubic inches x .70 = 11.2 ounces in weight. |
CopyFlex™

Coverage: 1 pound of CopyFlex™ will cover an area 9 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ x1/4″ thick. How To Calculate Quantity Needed: In inches, take the L” x W” x Thickness of the area you will be covering with CopyFlex™. This will give you the total cubic inches of the CopyFlex™ layer that you are going to use to make your mold. Then multiply “ Example: Let’s say you need to cover an area that is 9 inches long by 9 inches wide and you want to apply a layer of CopyFlex™ that is 1/4 ” thick. The calculation is as follows: 9″ x 9″ x 1/4″ = 20.25 cubic inches x .70 = 14 ounces in weight. |
