Release-Dit™ is a food grade release agent primarily used to prevent one silicone part from bonding to another. This can be very valuable when making two part and 3D molds. Release-Dit™ also conditions the surface of an object aiding in the easy removal of a mold made over the object.

How to Use Release-Dit

Step 1
Release-Dit™ is a food grade release agent. Its main function is to prevent one silicone part from bonding to another. Release-Dit™ is applied to the flange of a finished side of a two-part mold made with SiliconeSpread™. Release-Dit™ should be applied in a very thin coat making sure the entire surface is covered uniformly.
Step 2
More Silicone Spread™ is applied directly onto the first part that was coated with Release-Dit™.
Step 3
Once the Silicone Spread™ has cured, the two parts of the mold can be easily separated.
Step 5
More Silicone Plastique® is applied directly onto the first part that was coated with Release Dit™.
Step 6
Once the Silicone Plastique® has cured, the two parts of the mold can be easily separated.
Step 7
Release-Dit™ has applied the first part of a two part mold made with CopyFlex™ Liquid Silicone. More CopyFlex™ Liquid Silicone is applied directly onto the first part that was coated with Release Dit™.
Step 8
Once the CopyFlex Liquid™ Silicone has cured, the two parts of the mold can be easily separated.
